NAME: Ronan Lynch
CANON: The Raven Cycle
AGE: 17, to be aged up to 18. Ronan is somebody who, though not incredibly experienced, is very comfortable with his sexuality. It’s never been an issue with him, instead just something he’s accepted and readily explored. Between his father’s untimely death and, as a result, his mother’s essentially comatose state, it’s safe to say he’s been through a lot, and he’s had to grow up. As it is, he currently lives with a couple of friends without any adult supervision, and has had to assume some form of responsibility in order to a) continue being allowed to live there and b) not die. Despite his tendency to participate in illegal street racing and fist fights, he’s got a lot of common sense and a pretty good head on his shoulders.

INCENTIVE/FIT: Ronan is the son of a dream and the son of a dreamer. That is to say, his father dreamed his mother into existence, married her, and had children with her. It’s a little fucked up and Ronan just chooses not to think about it too hard. When dreamers such as Ronan’s father die, their dreams (if they happen to be living, breathing dreams) fall into a state of comatose. When Niall Lynch was murdered, his wife fell into a permanent sleep, leaving Ronan and his brothers essentially parentless.

As it turns out, Ronan’s younger brother, Matthew, is the result of one of Ronan’s dreams. He dreamed his baby brother when he was three years old. Matthew is Ronan’s entire world, the person he loves the most and the person he would go to the ends of the earth for. Ronan will protect his brother at all costs.

Now that he’s aware of the specifics of his mother’s comatose state, and that the same thing could just as easily happen to Matthew, Ronan wants exactly two things. 1) Wake his mother up. Allow her to be awake and living outside of the magical confines of Cabeswater (Cabeswater being the forest on the ley line that holds many magical attributes, including allowing Aurora Lynch to be awake). And 2) Assure that if/when Ronan dies, Matthew won’t slip into the same state of sleep that his mother did.

For these two things, Ronan will hold everybody’s fucking hands.

ANYTHING ELSE? As stated before, Ronan possesses the same dream powers that his father did. He’s the only one of the Lynch brothers who can do this. Basically, now that he’s gained some semblance of control of these powers, he can theoretically pull anything he wants out of his dreams. He has to ask permission to take anything, but Cabeswater (which is where his powers come from) considers him a friend. He can’t take too many very large things out of his dreams in a short span of time, because it drains power from the ley line.

That said, nothing is really too big for him to take from his dreams. He’s pulled small animals (such as his pet raven, Chainsaw), large animals (like a terrifying dragon sized man-raven hybrid), his brother, several rebuilt ‘73 Camaros. He’s also capable of taking things out of his dreams that don’t necessarily exist in the real world. For example, he once pulled a small box that could be used to translate several different languages, including one that wasn’t even a real language. As long as he can dream it in detail and he’s touching it when he wakes up, it’s solid.

However, as discussed with the mods on the FAQ, his powers will be limited in Eudio. He can’t dream or destroy anything larger than a car.

With him, he’ll be bringing his late father’s dreamed BMW, and his pet raven.
